Where the
spark came from.
Jacob plays basketball and thinks about basketball. He studies the game, replays moves, figures out what went wrong. He realized most younger players only get better when they're physically on the court — they don't have a way to train their mind and form off it.
So he pitched a platform that changes that. A gamified basketball training app that uses challenges, scoring, and progress tracking to make off-court practice feel as engaging as the real game. Built specifically to help younger kids get better even when they're not at the gym.

How Jacob
built his dream.
Jacob designed the platform around the two skills that make or break young players: shooting form and defensive positioning. He built concept modules for each, designed a scoring system so players could track improvement, and thought through exactly how gamification makes practice stick.
Through the Dream Chaser program, he turned that basketball intelligence into a full business concept — who it's for, what it costs, how it works, and why it's different from anything else out there.
What Jacob learned.
I learned that gamification only works if the core product is actually good. You can't make bad drills fun with a point system. The drills have to work first — then the scores make people come back.
I'm a student of the game in a way most of my teammates aren't. I realized that's not just an athletic trait — it's a skill I can teach. And teaching is something I want to do for a long time.
I want to be the kind of person who makes other people better. Whether that's through a training app, a coaching career, or something else — that's the through line for me.
