Where the
spark came from.
Mateus noticed something his teachers hadn't fully cracked: students learn faster from each other than from textbooks. When a classmate explains something in student-language, it clicks in a way a formal lesson sometimes doesn't.
He pitched Learn Better Together to formalize that instinct — a platform where students find peer tutors in subjects they're struggling with and build a community around academic confidence, not just grades.

How Mateus
built his dream.
Mateus designed Learn Better Together around three subjects — the ones where he'd seen the most classmates struggle and where peer explanation makes the biggest difference. Math, Science, and Spanish: three languages, all teachable by a student who gets it.
Through the Dream Chaser program, he built the full concept — how the matching works, how sessions are structured, how the community grows, and how to make academic help feel safe and peer-to-peer rather than top-down.
What Mateus learned.
I learned that a community doesn't just happen — you have to design for it. Matching the right tutor to the right student, making the first session feel safe, tracking progress so people see growth. Every piece matters.
I'm a natural facilitator. I notice when someone needs help before they ask for it. That instinct turned out to be the most important design tool I had when building this platform concept.
Access to good education shouldn't depend on how much your family can afford for tutors. I want to build systems that level that playing field. Learn Better Together is my first draft of that.
